Position and specialisms
Based in Poole, Nick specialises in advising our clients in the Charity and Not for Profit sector and, as well as being a regular delegate at the HCWA Charity conferences, he is developing a national specialist Charity and Not for Profit user group that, amongst other things, will focus on added value audits for charity and not for profit clients.
In addition to this Nick handles a mixed portfolio of owner managed and family businesses ranging from clients in the retail, wholesale and manufacturing sectors to professional practices. This work is very much 'hands on' as Nick is actively involved in advising these clients on a wide range of business issues.
Education and career
Nick started his working life in local government as part of an in-house audit team and, in 1980, moved to Willis Parsons, a predecessor firm of Princecroft Willis, where he became a Partner during which time his role grew to include responsibility for the firm's finance function.
After many years of impressing his Partners by telling them "I am on a course today", they have now realised it is of the green kind and as you can guess Nick enjoys golf, which usually includes a 19th hole.
