Position and specialisms
Julian is our Private Client Services Partner and provides advice on estate planning as well as the full range of personal taxes. He specialises in inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning, the tax efficient use of trusts and providing UK tax advice to individuals who are not resident or not domiciled in the UK.
Education and career
Educated at Oxford Boys School, Julian has a BA (Hons) degree in Politics and International Relations from Coventry Polytechnic and an MA in Political Science from the University of Delaware. On his return to the UK after University, Julian spent two years in the Inland Revenue before joining a major accountancy firm, where he remained for nineteen years. Julian qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1988 and became a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 1996. Julian is former chairman of the local STEP branch committee. Julian became a partner on 1 April 2005.
Julian was born in 1960, is married with 2 sons and lives in Barton on Sea. In his spare time he is a keen runner and a long suffering supporter of AFC Bournemouth.
