Heather Williams
Heather is a fellow of the ICAEW and a member of the Institute of Taxation. She specialised at senior level in taxation at two Big Four accountants with a particular focus on entrepreneurial taxation and corporate transactions. After qualifying with a distinction in her MBA at Manchester Business School, she left accountancy in order to move into Industry. She subsequently spent 10 years at main board level running successful retail and manufacturing businesses. During this time she was responsible for improving both sales and profitability in a number of countries. She has recently returned to the profession as a Corporate Tax specialist and has the unique combination of commercial experience and specialist taxation planning. This helps her identify the key issues for clients when advising on tax planning opportunities.
Heather has more recently created her list of 20 Strategies for business improvement using her experience of success. She has, jointly with Bournemouth University, written a course on this topic and has lectured at various business events on this subject.
Heather was brought up in Somerset, but studied Economics at Southampton University. She moved to Poole in 2000 when she got married. She has two children, both attending local schools, and when not taking them to various sporting or dance venues she likes to run in Poole Park or train at the local gym.
