Shooting school on target for £750,000 turnover

A shooting school in the Purbecks founded 17 years ago is on target to hit £750,000 in sales.
Purbeck Shooting School occupies a 50 acre site near Wareham and employs seven full-time staff.
It was founded by Graham Brown, Managing Director, fulfilling, he says, a lifetime ambition.
Clients aged seven to 93 years come from a wide area spanning Essex in the east to Gloucestershire in the west.
They enjoy a range of challenges including clay pigeon and game shooting – both simulated and the real thing.
The school also offers tuition and lessons and hosts hen and stag parties as well as company and shooting events.
“We attract all sorts from Olympic and Commonwealth gold medallists through to businessmen and women looking to enjoy a good day out,” explained Graham.
He added: “We’ve worked hard with ecological groups, such as Natural England, and other interested parties, to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
“Hundreds of thousands of pounds has also been raised for charity over the years and we’ve held many events on the site.”
Advisers to Purbeck Shooting School include Dorset and Hampshire chartered accountants and business advisers Princecroft Willis (PcW).
Partner James Robinson said: “Graham and his team have built up an excellent business which continues to thrive despite the current challenging business climate.
“We’re very proud to include Purbeck Shooting School among our clients.”
