The government’s Academies programme has expanded at pace, establishing an exciting new sector within the Not for Profit market.  As charities and companies, Academies face the challenges of the interaction of company and charity legislation and the Charities SORP together with fulfilling the specific requirements of the Department for Education (DfE) Funding Agreement and meeting the requirements of the Academies Financial Handbook. It is essential they have an adviser who can assist them in complying with these regulations and at the same time add value to their business.

Our Academies team is headed up by Mark Johns, who acts as Responsible Officer at a local Grammar School.  Mark is aided  by Team Manager, John Smuland and Internal Auditor, Tony Baylis.
