Student Placements

At Princecroft Willis, we offer one placement per year to Accountancy undergraduates starting in the summer for a period of 40 weeks.

We liaise with Bournemouth University regarding our placement students, vacancies are advertised within the university and interviews usually take place in December for placement during the summer of the following year.

Please contact us directly if you are interested in a placement but do not study at Bournemouth University.

Successful candidates will gain a thorough understanding of accounts preparation. You will also move on to work for larger clients and will gain experience of working on audits and involvement in our tax department for personal and corporate clients.

We employ students with enthusiasm for a career in accountancy or tax. Some office-based work experience is preferred and access to a car during the year would be helpful.

For those students who succeed in their placement role and enjoy their time with us, there may an opportunity to re-apply for a place on our Graduate Development Programme after graduation.

Work Experience

We offer a number of placements for GCSE level students to experience working for an accountancy practice, usually for a 2 week period.

Work experience is arranged via the Education and Business Partnership (EBP) or Solent Skillquest and students should speak to the Work Experience Co-ordinator at their school if they are interested in working at Princecroft Willis.

We offer general office experience within an accounts team and a choice of working in our office in central Poole or our New Forest office based in New Milton. We aim to teach students the basics of preparing a set of accounts during their time at Princecroft Willis. In addition, there may be the opportunity of an overview of the work of our tax team and non-accounts departments as required.
